Every two years the International Peace Research Association holds a conference in different parts of the world. These conferences have taken places in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czechoslovakia, England, Finland, Holland, Hungary, India, Japan, Korea, Malta, Mexico, South Africa, Sweden, and Yugoslavia.
A key challenge for IPRA is to raise funds so that peace scholars and activists
from all over the world can attend these conferences. Since its inception
in 1993, this fund has provided over $70,000 to help pay the expenses of scholars
who want to attend these conferences. Without the activities of these funds,
these IPRA conferences would not be the diverse rich experience they are.
